Patient Participation Group

Our Patient Participation Group (PPG) meets to provide a forum for discussion about the practice.

We welcome enquiries from patients who would like to join our patient group.

The Patient Participation Group is the link between the GP Practice and the patients.

We aim to gather around a hundred patients from as broad a spectrum as possible to get a truly representative sample. We need young people, workers, retirees, people with long term conditions and people from non-British ethnic groups.

We focus on assisting the Practice in improving all aspects of individuals’ healthcare and ensure patients are informed and involved with their own healthcare decisions.

If you want to keep abreast of changes in the Practice, voice your opinion and give feedback, then join the ‘Virtual PPG’ and receive bulletins, newsletters, practice news and minutes of PPG meetings.

If you are happy for us to contact you occasionally by email please complete our sign-up form.

We will be in touch shortly after we receive your form. Please note that no medical information or questions will be responded to.

Many thanks for your assistance

The Friends of Thorpe Road Surgery

The Friends of Thorpe Road Surgery was formed by a group of patients who came together in 2017 to raise funds to enable the surgery to purchase equipment that they cannot purchase through the NHS. Following their first fundraising coffee morning they were able to purchase a baby changing table for the Practice and since have raised funds for the provision of portable blood pressure monitors.

We are looking for more patients to join the group who would be willing to get involved and share in future fundraising and other events. Please consider this and, if you are interested, contact Catherine Greer at the surgery on 01733 302189.
